Excerpt

The Ministry of National Education continues the reforms in the field of education and training, in view of ensuring an education adapted to the labour market requirements and focused on personal and social development, with positive impact on the prevention and combating the early school leave.

OMEN for the Methodology for providing the necessary support to the pupils with learning disabilities (January 2017) was elaborated and adopted. The methodology regulates the adequate evaluation procedures for discovering the learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia) of the pupils, as well as the type of intervention for ensuring the individualized and customized learning in their case.

For the 2018/2019 school year, textbooks for 63 subjects have been printed and distributed free of charge for grades 1 – 6, and they have also been translated in the national minority languages. The textbooks have been loaded in PDF format on www.manuale.edu.ro. This is the first time when people with hearing disabilities will have digital textbooks adjusted to their needs and also the first time when there are textbooks for 26 subjects in the languages of national minorities (in 9 languages of the national minorities).

The new approved curricula for grades 5 – 8 have introduced elements of entrepreneurship education in the school subjects Technological Education (grades 5 – 8) and Economic Education (grade 8).

A Register of Entrepreneur Mentors for School Education will be set up and will include voluntary employers who are willing to disseminate examples of economic success in schools.
